Our strategy for running the Melbourne City Secrets social media platforms is to make a post once a week (with a few exceptions, see Timeline table below). Each post would be either a photo or, for places which are harder to find, we will include a video guide. In the description of each post we will be providing information about the place such as where it is located, its opening hours, how much the entry fee is (if it is not free) and some background history about the location. These would be posted on both Facebook and Instagram simultaneously as we believe both platforms work well for eye-catching images which we hope to achieve with our locations.

Our Instagram posts would have a location added for convenience since a tap would lead to a map. We will also maximise our reach by using hashtags while also tagging the place in the image if they have an account. The posts would be kept in the default square format.

Our Facebook posts would be similar to our Instagram which would be posted at around about the same time. The main differences between these two platforms would be the text (we will add more in-depth history on Facebook) and images, since Facebook can accommodate for albums of photos with different aspect ratios. Additionally, photos and videos would have to be shared separately as they can not be placed in an album together on Facebook.
